Whether you’re a seasoned traveler, or planning your first escapade to Bali; discover what makes the Bali Garden Beach Resort a preferred choice for those seeking affordable luxury.
Getting To the Bali Garden Beach Resort
To visit the Bali Garden Beach Resort, you would typically fly into Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport (DPS). It is the main airport in Bali, located in the southern part of the island. This airport is near the capital city of Denpasar and the popular tourist areas of Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak. The Bali Garden Beach Resort is located in Kuta, which is a short drive from the airport.
There are a plethora of taxi services available from the airport to the Bali Garden Beach Resort. The proximity of the resort to the airport makes the journey short and affordable, and the scenic route offers a sneak peek into the vibrant life of Kuta.
Accommodation at the Bali Garden Beach Resort
The Bali Garden Beach Resort is a true gem, offering affordable 4-star authentic Balinese accommodation with 5-star amenities. Nestled in the heart of South Kuta Beach, guests have direct access to a serene beachfront, waking up to the calming sound of waves and indulging in mesmerising sunsets every evening. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. Despite our initial room with the unappealing view of a side alley, management was sincere and accommodating; providing us with a room overlooking lush gardens. The resort’s staff stands out for their commendable hospitality, ever eager to cater to guests’ needs, ensuring a clean and welcoming room after a day out.

Culinary experiences at and around the Bali Garden Beach Resort
The Bali Garden Beach Resort offers a plethora of dining choices. During our stay, we enjoyed options such as the Boardwalk Restaurant and Lounge, Warung Damar, Kabar, Kopi & Kue, Club Havana, and the Coffee Shop. Since our visit, we’ve observed that they’ve introduced a new dining establishment and have plans to unveil another soon. We recommend checking their official website for detailed information on their diverse on-site restaurant offerings.
Our favourites in and around the resort were:
- The Boardwalk Restaurant and Lounge: A beachfront haven for poolside relaxation, sumptuous lunch, contemporary music, and the most refreshing cocktails/mocktails. Their happy hour from 3 – 5 pm is a steal with 3 cocktails for the price of 2. Their quality and pricing outshine other restaurants along the Kuta boardwalk.

- Villos: Villos stands out not only for its delectable pastries and mesmerizing sunset views but also for its innovative approach to gelato. Their alcohol-infused gelato is a fusion of traditional gelato combined with the nuanced flavours of various alcoholic beverages. This fusion creates a unique dessert experience, allowing adults to relish the familiar taste of gelato with an added kick. Whether it’s a hint of rum, a touch of tequila, or the warmth of whiskey, these gelatos cater to diverse palates. It’s a fun and indulgent way to elevate the traditional ice cream experience, especially for those looking to try something new. We can’t comment on the taste because we didn’t try it personally. But we could tell that people seemed to love it.

- Bamboo Bar and Grill: Bamboo Bar and Grill encapsulates the essence of a beachside hangout, even without the direct views of the sea. As the sun sets, the ambiance of the place transforms, becoming a lively hub. The complimentary slushy shots they offer upon arrival set the tone for a fun-filled evening. With music pulsating in the background, it’s easy to find oneself swaying to the rhythm or even breaking into a dance. For families, Bamboo Bar and Grill offers a special treat on Mondays. With every main dish ordered, children get to enjoy a meal on the house. This not only provides great value for families but also ensures that the little ones have a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re looking for a fun evening out with friends or a relaxed family dinner, Bamboo Bar and Grill caters to all.

The resort’s strategic location offers easy access to Kuta’s lively nightlife, shopping, and dining. Seminyak and Canggu are just a short drive away.
Waterbom Park Bali is a renowned water park conveniently located adjacent to the resort. Established in 1993, it has since evolved into one of Asia’s premier water parks. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline-pumping slides or a calm day lounging by the pool, Waterbom Bali offers a diverse range of experiences, making it a ‘must-visit’ attraction for those travelling Bali.
Sunsets and serenity at the Bali Garden Beach Resort
The resort’s beachfront infinity pool is ideally positioned to soak in the enchanting sunsets and enjoy hourly dance performances from the Boardwalk restaurant’s ladies. Their spa pool encapsulates tranquillity, making it easy to immerse oneself in a book. The Spa pool is an ‘adult-only area, which were really love, since every other part of the resort caters to families with children.

The main pool features an in-pool bar for utmost comfort, with a section 3m deep catering to diving enthusiasts. Children have a separate pool with a plethora of floaties for free use. Sun loungers and daybeds adorn each pool area, inviting guests to daze into moments of bliss.
Those seeking relaxation can indulge in the resort’s Tari Spa facilities. Our couples spa experience was undeniably one of our highlight of Bali. Pro tip: Spa packages in Kuta offer better value for money compared to other regions. We enquired about spa packages at other hotels in different regions, and Tari won with the most affordable couples spa packages.
For fitness enthusiasts, there’s a fitness centre on the premises. However, some, like Anton, might realise they’re on vacation and choose to give it a miss!
conclusion
Overall, our stay at the Bali Garden Beach Resort was simply spectacular. The resort is a harmonious blend of authentic Balinese charm and modern comforts. Its prime location provides easy accessibility to key attractions, while its beachfront ensures dreamy sunset views. The resort’s beachfront views, serene spa, and extensive pool options cater to both relaxation and adventure. Whether you’re a solo traveller, a couple on a romantic getaway, or a family, the Bali Garden Beach Resort will surely deliver a pleasant stay. Ultimately encapsulating the beauty and hospitality of Bali.
